I am the only cadet to be awarded the National Meritorious Service Award from the National Commander. The CAP's Meritorious Service Award is the fifth-highest decoration available in the CAP. It is awarded for outstanding achievement or meritorious service rendered specifically on behalf of the CAP.Awarded two Consecutive Commander’s Commendation awards from the TXWG Commander. Awarded the Outstanding Cadet of the Year Award at the squadron level. Awarded the Veterans of Foreign Wars NCO of the year award. Awarded the Veterans of Foreign Wars Officer of the year award. Awarded the presidential disaster relief ribbon for assisting mission control during Hurricane Harvey.Completed the Pre-solo process in the Sweizer and ASK 21 gliders. Created the staff budget in reference to all staff contracts, and reported payroll. Mentored, scheduled, recruited, and provided documentation for all volunteers and new hires. Provided and organized all staff paperwork.Created and distributed kitchen schedule, staff master schedule, and camper assignments.Taught training sessions to new hires and volunteers in behavioral management, safety procedures, CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding.Served in various needed positions as the need arises such as lifeguard, photographer, counselor, and administrator on duty (also known as the staff member who intervenes in behavioral episodes or blowups). Show less This camp is directed towards children with learning disabilities such as ADHD ADD, Asperger's disorder, High Functioning Autism, and other special needs. Through this, I have learned to maintain an effective learning environment despite diverse cultures and situations. I've spent the majority of my life as a volunteer in teaching positions and have learned through trial and error how to empathize with the group and best explain difficult concepts. I received the highest female score on my PT test in two consecutive tests in my grade. Enlisted for a short time in the USAF as an E-3 as a student at UT Austin. During this time, I followed a track in military intelligence before changing careers to follow my interest in private ownership and business.
