  Wendigo Lake Expeditions is a wilderness therapy program based near South River, Ontario. Programs provide educational, developmental, and therapeutic lessons for adolescent males who present with substance abuse, depression, anger/emotional regulation, poor grades/truancy, family conflict or involvement with unlawful activity. Kristen provided instructional care for participants, guiding participants through four season wilderness expeditions and course work.

  Sasamat Outdoor Centre is a progressive non-profit organization dedicated to the growth of individuals and families, and to the development of communities. Providing quality outdoor camping and educational experiences, Sasamat Outdoor Centre carries forward the mission of enriching lives through learning and playing in the outdoors. As the Programs Director, Kristen provided senior leadership to all programs (outdoor education, children's camps, women's programs, senior's programs, leadership programs) assuring high quality program experiences. Kristen oversaw a staff team of 65 annually, secured funding & designed and implemented new programs, and improved hiring practices with new performance based HR recruitment procedures. Show less

  BC Camping Association Board Member - Conference Chair

  The British Columbia Camping Association is a voluntary non-profit association comprised of member camps and interested individuals whose primary purpose is to promote the quality of camping within the province. Kristen has been elected to the role of Conference Chair, and focuses on the educational offerings for membership. Primarily, Kristen co-plans and implements the annual conference attended by 180+ members and showcasing over 35 speakers.
