      De back office for all HR administration and payroll for ING in The Netherlands, as well as man-aging all in- and output to the tax office and social security organisations. In the shared service centre HR-administrations of 21 ING companies in the Netherlands were integrated and merged into one PeopleSoft system. HR-intranet (ESS-MSS), HR IT-systems and call centre. In total 280 direct staff in 4 locations servicing 36.000 employees with a budget of around EUR 30 mln. The task at hand was to fix the severe operational problems in the shared service centre after the introduction of it two years prior. If unsuccessful I was to prepare outsourcing of the unit Within a year a restructuring was implemented after which over another 4 years costs were reduced with close to 50% in combination with an increase of the customer satisfaction levels from 5 to 6,9 on a scale from 1 to 10. Based on these results the outsourcing was no longer in the cards.
