Within 4 months was promoted to the Engraving Department as Quality Control, was trained about engraving plates, dies and scheduling of the presses. 8 months later was promoted to the Litho/Thermography Department as Quality Control and Production Scheduler. Within 1 year was promoted to Offset Press Supervisor and Manager. 4 months later became Night Shift Supervisor to help organize the night shift & train the new manager. 1 year later was put back on day shift as Pressroom Supervisor and to help train the new Plant Manager. In 9 months was moved back to prepress due to pregnancy. Duties were art, proofreading and camera Was promoted to Head of the Camera Department to help reorganize after a reduction in staff. In August 1993 started training on the new Macintosh computer system. Was sent to Appletree Technologies/New Horizons Computer Learning Center and certified in Macintosh Basic-AM. First camera person to be trained in computer stripping on the new direct to plate onyx system. Show less

Responsible for initiating a paper recycling program through the offices to re-coup some of the revenue lost from paper waste. Started a TPM Schedule, there was any not TPM Schedule at this plant. This entailed scheduling manning, overtime, vacation, timecard verification and authorization, monthly safety and company communication meetings, ensuring proper PPE is worn and all quality, safety and procedural SOP’s are met daily. Attending yearly Corporate Leadership Training and Corporate and Plant Continuous Improvement project meetings bi-monthly. Assisted in getting the department/plant ready for the yearly SQF Audit. March 2013 sent to the Danville, IL plant to assist as a supervisor due to a shortage of supervisors and work on continuous improvement projects such as 5S, scheduling and production report streamlining for 2 weeks. April 2013 was moved to the Coil/Coating department, was instrumental in a reduction of defects, HFI product and raising awareness of quality issues. Assisted with training and implementation of a corporate initiative based work order, safety and preventative maintenance project system. Was team lead on several quality and continuous improvement projects including a SMED event to reduce changeover time by 35%. Attended corporate BEST Training for supervisors, which included The 4 Disciplines of Execution and Ball Essentials of Supervisor Training & Certification. Experience on Info HCM Workforce Management, Infinity 2004, MFG Pro VT COC 2, Quad Enterprise Applications 2011 SE, Quad EAM 12.6 PROD., Total Control Roster, Minitab 16 and Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Project Programs & Systems.       • Supervision of 120 employees on 3 shifts which entails scheduling manning, overtime, vacations, plus timecard verification and authorization in Kronos Timekeeper. • Ensuring proper PPE is worn and all quality, safety and procedural SOP’s are met daily. • Handling all employee management situations including assisting with training, getting proper supplies needed, machine repair initiated, conflict resolution, team building, and disciplinary actions. • Ensuring adjusters are using Flex accurately, interpreting and compiling production reports, then sending these reports to management, planning and accounting.• Ensuring all housekeeping efforts are kept up on a daily basis.• Weekly audits of machines, safety checklists and forklifts as required by Corporate EHS.• Holding daily stretch/safety minutes along with monthly safety and company communication meetings.• Developed a manning schedule to cut overtime which has shown a significant reduction in overtime hours.• Developed a continuous improvement plan for the plant that included safety, housekeeping, maintenance, quality, and production, presented it to management and was given the authorization to move forward with these initiatives. • Created and implemented a 5S Event in the Make Ready area with a diversified team of employees which was beneficial and successful. • Initiated a plan to promote an adjuster to Lead position on his shift saving the company $26,794.56 per year in overtime that was used to cover this Lead position.
