  Designing a deep artificial neural network for active sound noise cancellation/control. The designed network is a new deep convolutional recurrent neural network for active noise cancellation, which consists of a series of new encoder units to extract effective multiscale features from the one-dimensional (1-D) time series input data, two stacked LSTM units which serve as a brain of the network to extract temporal behaviors of noises and predict future anti-noise samples to consider any sort of time delays in the processing, a series of new decoder units to map the feature space to the destructive canceling signal with the same size as the input noise, and skipped connections after each encoder unit with attention module is also employed to keep low-level features, ensure feature reusability, and intelligently select and exploit the effective feature maps.
