  Engineered processes for rare earth element recovery using bacteria and chemical precipitants. Grew bacteria in SixFor fermenters to create a bio-lixiviant, used to leach rare earth elements (REE) from magnets. Performed precipitation reactions on the resulting bio-leachate to recover REE. Documented experiments and wrote a paper for Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) and Department of Energy deliverable.

  Responsibilities included fabricating stretchable electronics by encapsulating liquid metal paste with silicone. Created methods for casting and stenciling stretchable sensor gloves, and learned how to solder PCBs for stretchable electronic applications. Presented research at the 2022 Opportunity Research Scholars Symposium (ORSS) conference at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
