  During my 2015 summer internship I was in charge of posting Near Miss/Unsafe Condition reports. I wrote weekly Pipe & Wire articles along with monthly Near Miss/Unsafe Condition Newsletters.I assisted with Aboveground Storage Tank Audits at a handful of We Energies' service centers. Also, conducted Mock OSHA Audits at the service center in the garage, yard, supply room and office area.I updated the Fleet Chemical list by inventorying 14 service centers. I check every chemical in our Chemical Hazard Evaluation System. I notified the fleet technicians of all the chemicals that were not in CHES and ask for them to remove from their shelves or fill out the proper paper work for approval. During my 2016 internship, I had a construction safety focus to which was closely related to We Energies Major Projects Group. I went on site visits to achieve a better understanding of We Energies new construction and reconstruction jobs. I also developed a new safety assessment plan specific for the Major Projects Group. I also spend a several weeks studying the new Respirable Crystalline Silica Standard and how silica was affecting We Energies employees. Show less
