  As part of my study I performed Anthropological research for a period of three months in Marseille, France. Here I explored the relationship between young people and public space in the centre of this European metropolis. The research focused on the perception of the urban environment by young people and the different realities, tensions, paradoxes and opportunities they experienced in the use of space in various neighbourhoods throughout the city, subject to urban development.

  As part of my study I performed Urban Geographical research in Detroit, USA. Here I looked into the role of images in the construction of urban geographical knowledge(s). It focused on how Detroit's physical urban form is visually represented by the media and it's residents. Through including visual representations made and selected by its inhabitants a multi-dimensional image of the city was created in which residents instead of ruins became center stage.

  Presentation | Ludus Festival: Performance Place and Possibility Symposium

  I held a presentation based on my research results derived from research in Marseille and framed it by concepts as performance, identity and urban cultures.In this symposium, we considered the intersections of performance and the embodied practice of urban life and, further, reflected on the potentials of and the challenges for performance which seek to engage with diverse experiences of the city.
