  Company Coordination Co-Head - Rise Up Mora 2022

  The mock interview session Rise Up Mora will be one of my forever favorite projects. This is organized for the level three students at University of Moratuwa, focusing on their upcoming internship. Playing the Co-Head role of company coordination was a little bit challenging, but was really interesting. I and the team could make 20+ companies joining with Rise Up Mora 2022 that led the project to reach more than a success.

  In Plant Trainee - Industrial Systems Engineering (R&D)

  Completed my internship at Research and Development - MAS Linea Aqua. I consider this an invaluable opportunity to dive into the automation industry. When I am visiting Linea Aqua at the very first day, all I knew about automation was the meaning of the abbreviation PLC. My knowledge in automation and PLC programming was almost zero. Luckily, I met my really friendly and supportive supervisor there. Under his guidance, I was capable of starting to work on the electronics part of a sewing automation project alone, after 2 months of starting my internship.Here I had chances to be involved in PLC programming, wiring, HMI integration, stepper motor controlling, dealing with rotary encoders, inductive and capacitive proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, controlling operations of JUKI machines with PLCs through the dedicated ports, using Arduino and NodeMCU for IoT and sensory inputs, and many more. Not just the technical stuff, I had some nice experiences being involved in brainstorming activities, progress meetings, parties, movie nights and a lot of fun activites. Basically, it was learning with having fun. I believe I really should be thankful to my supervisor, the R&D team, and the management of the company for providing me this amazing opportunity.
