  In my role at Medupi Power Station, I was delegated authority and responsibility from the FIDIC engineer to represent the employer. Initially joining as a Senior Inspector, I was promoted to Acting Deputy Discipline Quality Manager after two months due to the end of the DQM contract. My responsibilities spanned all quality assurance and control (QA/QC) activities for the main boiler contractor, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and their 60 service providers.I managed a team of over 65 skilled professionals, including inspectors, engineers, and data capturers, ensuring the quality of fabrication, construction, and documentation met ISO9001:2015 standards. This included overseeing site inspections, managing inspection reports, and addressing non-conformities through root cause investigations and corrective actions.
