During my involvement with SIBC within the Eastdil Secure Program, I engaged in comprehensive research across various real estate sectors, including industrials, office markets, and malls. Our focus delved into Q4 market reports, where we meticulously analyzed economic indicators such as unemployment rates, GDP quarterly percentage change year over year, and U.S. 10-year Treasury Notes, discerning their impact on quarterly performance.Furthermore, our examination extended to key metrics like vacancy rates, cap rates, overall asking lease rates (net), net absorption (square feet), under construction (square feet), construction completions (square feet), and discrepancies in industrial inventory (square feet). Utilizing this extensive data, we generated forecasts for vacancy rates and anticipated changes in under construction projects. Our efforts culminated in the creation of meticulous Microsoft presentations crafted to the exacting standards of Eastdil Secure, ensuring our findings were communicated effectively and professionally. Asset Management Analyst

This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to intern as an Asset Management Analyst at Ocean West Capital. Under the guidance of my mentor, I explored various roles within the company and gained hands-on experience across multiple departments.I spent valuable time working directly with analysts, the asset manager from both international and US teams, the construction team, and the property manager. This provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse career paths in real estate. Additionally, I had the privilege to shadow brokers from NewMark and JLL, which broadened my perspective on the industry. One of the highlights of my internship was working on a white paper exploring the intersection of real estate and infrastructure. It was a fascinating project that allowed me to dive deep into an emerging field. To cap off my internship, I was challenged with a capstone project that tested my financial modeling, presentation, and research skills. It was a rewarding experience that allowed me to apply what I had learned in a real-world scenario.A huge thank you to everyone at Ocean West Capital for this amazing opportunity and for supporting my professional growth!
