      During my internship at the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), I had the privilege to work on the design and implementation of communication protocols (SPI and UART) on FPGA using a master-slave configuration. This experience allowed me to dive deep into hardware-level communication and digital design, providing hands-on exposure to critical aspects of embedded systems.Key highlights of my work include:‣Protocol Development and Simulation: Designed and implemented SPI and UART protocols, leveraging Verilog for FPGA programming. I used testbenches for simulation to validate the communication flow, ensuring seamless and robust data transmission.‣Performance Optimization: Resolved challenging timing errors and improved protocol reliability by adjusting clock settings and increasing bit counters, which ensured the accurate transmission of complete data across master-slave configurations.‣Practical Impact: The optimizations and reliability enhancements directly contributed to improving the efficiency of communication protocols, showcasing their potential for use in real-world applications such as embedded systems and hardware development.
