    • Boots UK

      Sept 2014 - Nov 2017

I accepted an opportunity to do a one year secondment from Boots to work as a locality clinical pharmacist for two days per week with the NHS local health board. The aim of this was to provide support to local GP surgeries in the form of prescribing advice and support and also to improve relationships between surgeries and community pharmacy. This work included helping with areas such as antibiotic prescribing, for which I worked with an antimicrobial pharmacist to produce a practice based educational session for the GPs, involvement in multidisciplinary elderly intervention projects, and medication reviews to name but a few.
