  Establishing and formalising the risk management process at Maitland by implementing a Target Operating Model for Enterprise-wide Risk Management. Core responsibilities of the role included:1. Providing oversight as part of the second line of defence. Partnering and assisting the business with the identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring and reporting of enterprise-wide risks in line with the firm’s Risk Management Framework and policies.2. Managing the Risk Incident and Loss Event process. Monitoring the defined process, ensuring that suitable corrective actions are put in place, as well as providing Finance with accurate loss provision figures.3. Supporting and guiding business units in the roll-out of Risk and Control Self-Assessments. Providing independent challenge to the risks identified, the design and operational effectiveness of the controls already in place, as well as planned mitigations.4. Completing Fraud Risk Assessments for high-risk business units.5. Annual review of Risk and Fraud policies.6. Performing Anti-Bribery and Corruption Risk Assessments in line with the firm’s agreed Framework which was designed in collaboration between me and an external Risk Consultant.7. Preparing risk reports and presenting to the various Boards and Audit Committees.8. Administration of the risk management system.9. Providing Risk, Risk Incident, Risk Control and Self-Assessment and Risk System training.Major project: Implemented a cloud based risk solution Xactium Risk Manager across Maitland Group. Show less
