      To earn the certificate, a 500-hour duration correspondence course was undertaken in my spare time outside of schooling commitments with the help of Sue Parker, dressmaking tutor and founder of Magnolia Moda.       In this role, I was responsible for packing goods into 450 general public and 150 VIP gift bags with fellow volunteers. I was also given the task of moving cage trolleys into lifts to ensure that the gift bags were transported to the correct floor to prepare for the runway show. During the runway show, I was responsible for greeting and ushering guests to their allocated seats. Following the show, I acted as a collections assistant and cleaned numerous pairs of shoes to return them to pristine condition.       As a front-of-house volunteer, I was allocated to the giveaways team, and was responsible for unpacking food items and various beauty products, in order to distribute these to fashion festival attendees. As a back-of-house volunteer, I was responsible for dressing models, and this involved rapidly preparing looks during runway show rehearsals and ensuring they were styled to look exactly like the provided photographs. I also acted as a collections assistant, and this job involved packing fashion accessories into the correct boxes, and ensuring they were accounted for. Show less

      I designed and made a garment in the summer break between the second and third year of my studies, and submitted one fashion look to be shown in the RMIT Cohort Revive & Thrive Runway, which was a fashion show about environmental consciousness organised by Fay Russell, as part of the PMFF2024 Independent Program.As a Back of House Dresser, my role was to assist the head stylist in matching shoes and accessories with looks, making changes to the run order, ensuring efficient and comfortable changes for models with multiple looks on the runway, and making minor alterations to garments if needed.
