  • Experience

    • UF Concrete Canoe Design Team

      Sept 2015 - May 2016
      Design Team Specialist

Tested different combinations of cementitious materials and aggregates and analyzed the strength in various compression, fatigue, and tension testsCompeted in Sprint/Endurance canoe races against universities across USA (1st at Nationals 2015)

    • University of Florida Department of Materials Science Engineering

      Sept 2015 - Jan 2016
      Research Assistant

Researched Osteosarcoma Cancer Treatment with the use of new polymers to find a more effective approach to deliver therapeutic drugs to tumor cells. I worked with Dr. Christopher Batich's research group through his graduate student, Micheal Kwan. This experience helped me to more fully understand the main concepts and goals behind Materials Science Engineering and also the etiquette of research development for potential opportunities in the future.

      Aug 2016 - Jan 2017
      Design Team Member

Utilized the computer-aided graphics design capabilities of SolidWorks to design a more lightweight, aerodynamically-efficient, honeycomb-structured endplate for the wings of a university-grade formula one car.Operated machinery to tune and enhance our previously-made 3-D designed parts

    • LUBAVITCH-CHABAD JEWISH CENTER OF GAINESVILLE

    • Motorola Solutions

      May 2018 - Jul 2018
      New Products Mechanical Engineering Intern

12 week long new products mechanical engineering internship. Utilized Creo Parametric (Pro-E) CAD software to design multiple leak fixtures for the control top of the new Motorola Solutions radio under development currently in the prototyping phase of the design process. Performed negative pressure tests to analyze pass/fail leak levels of the control top prototypes based on IP standards and positive pressure tests to root-cause failed units for future adjustments. Operated a Bridgeport end mill to modify manufactured parts to specified dimensions. Evaluated life cycles of critical radio components for button push tests, angled radio drop tests, salt-fog analysis, high humidity/temperature tests, and leak tests for various radio sub-assemblies. May 2019 - Aug 2019
      Common Blocks Mechanical Engineering Intern

Developing new radio test fixtures with design and end user evaluation on these products that are being used for radio certification tests which are needed before product acceptance. Used Creo (Pro-E) CAD design software and Pro-Mechanica thermal FEA analysis for evaluating design functionality. Utilized numerous machining stations and tools to create the physical test fixture designs.
