      A professional tennis career is a cocktail of international travel, hard work, pressure situations, flexibility, versatility and self confidence. Organising world travel plans, planning tournament and practice schedules, managing finances, individual motivation, discipline and teamwork are all experiences which have enhanced my personal make-up.I had a relatively successful career including three $10,000 singles and four $10,000 doubles tournament victories, runner-up in $25,000 singles and doubles tournaments along with several semi-final appearances in $10,000 and $25,000 tournaments. I qualified for the 1992 Olympic Games in doubles and played in the qualifying tournament for Wimbledon in both singles and doubles. My highest rankings were 259 in singles and 309 in doubles.I also represented Ireland at International level from 1982 to 1993 in Seniors and Juniors, including Olympic Games, Federation Cup and Junior Wimbledon.       I was responsible for providing technical leadership and enablement to forty+ Client Executives across four Industries: Retail, Consumer Products / Travel & Transport, Industrial and Communications, within IBM’s Enterprise Business Unit for England & Wales. My role consisted of three main areas:• Client Engagement – building client relationships, focusing on key deals to drive growth and supporting customer critical situations • Technical Leadership & Strategy – setting the technical strategy across my Business Unit and ensuring we had the right technical sales aids to operate successfully • Sales Leader support – supporting my Client Executives, directing technical resources, focusing on priorities and supporting accordingly Show less I gained experience across all areas of the project lifecycle from requirements analysis, design & specification, implementation, test, and maintenance. I provided technical leadership to my client on everything from IT strategy to application / infrastructure architectures including security and performance aspects where required, managed technical risk, advised the IBM project executive and delivery project executive on technical risks / issues, identified mitigating options and made recommendations on which actions to take. I also provided work and resource estimates, project costs and forecasting especially at bid / initial stages of the project lifecycle. This involved working closely with the customer's technical design authority, programme sponsors, programme and project managers as well as providing technical leadership on authorised project requests, change requests and technical review of proposals.Projects include: - Implementation of a new congestion charging system.- Implementation of an eBusiness website to allow advertisers to create their adverts on-line.- Implementation, roll-out and live running of statistical applications used during a live major UK event. - Implementation of a new e-commerce website.- Creating the solution outline for a surveillance project critical to veterinary services in the UK.- Implementation of an Interest & Charging system for wholesale customers.- Design and implementation of a new eCRM system for the player desk users during a live major UK event. Show less I worked with the project manager to recruit the development team with the required skills necessary to build and implement the final solution. I managed the development phase of projects from requirements specification, through design specification, build, various levels of testing (including development, system and acceptance testing) and final delivery to production including hand over to the live maintenance team. This involved working closely with the architect, test and management teams in order to prioritise development tasks outstanding to ensure a quality delivery.
