      Logistics Operations Lead

      Logistics lead for a team of military personnel supporting complex operations involving logistical and passenger transport - Created, managed, and maintained cargo/passenger manifests to ensure proper processing of of equipment and personnel. Was the liason between aircraft and the carrier’s onboard passenger and cargo terminals. Created a new SOP for manifests and resulted in the expeditous transfer of over 4,000 personnel and 1,800 pieces of equipment valued $132M through fixed-wing and rotator aircraft assets with zero mishaps or discrepancies. - Established improved logistics management by incorporating weekly staff syncs and conducting data analysis to identify bottlenecks in supply chain and develop solutions to optimize operations. - Directly led 10 personnel during high risk logistical operations and briefed all passengers on safety procedures during carrier flight deck movements. - Earned spot promotion to next paygrade from sustained superior performance through improved procedures and personnel management.       Responsbile for the operations and logistics of all US Navy combat ships, shore-based aircraft, forward-operating sites, and strategic sealift ships in the US Central Command area of responsbility. - Supervised and trained 14 personnel on supply procedures and policies to ensure efficient logistical operations. Developed, implemented, and managed departmental mentorship, training, and sponsorship programs. Productivity, promotion, and retention rates were significantly higher than Navy average, earning Retention awards and promoting 3 personnel to more supervisory roles. - Networked and consulted on a agreement with a local commerical trucking service, completely revamping the efficiency of logistical movements and centralized all data collection into a seemless tracking program. Resulting in a smooth coordination of 98 logistical movements involving 398 commerical trucks, 1,892 pallets of cargo across 5 different US military installations in the United Arab Emirates. - Awarded Junior Sailor of the Quarter, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal for efforts in coordination of moving $15M worth of equipment with zero discrepancies and positively contributed to the US’s mission posture in the Middle East.       Program manager of SPEAR (Special Operation Forces Personal Equipment Advanced Requirement) a program which controls all combat equipment issued to special operation personnel within the organization. Responsible for the logistics, acquistion inventory control, financial, and asset management for a $13M budget. - Inventoried, maintained and managed over 26,000 line items worth $6M with 100% accuracy in accountability. Brought inventory levels of accountable equipment from 61% to 100% after performing complete warehouse and administrative process analysis. Implemented enhanced control measures that recitifyies future discrepancies and improves overall accountability. - Acquired over $2.3M in supplies through open market purchasing and government credit card with zero errors. Worked with a multi-located team in researching vendors through market research of new vendors and negotiated contracts. Established performance metrics to monitor vendor performance and inform senior leadership of any issues for contract compliance resulting in saving the organization $600,000 from failed vendor services.- Led departmental meetings on HR matters, including Equal Opportunity and Diversity Inclusion, sponsored job satisfaction and personnel development programs to create a motivated and high morale team. Organized monthly offsite events and worked to create family-like environment and resutled contributing the highest satisfaction score on climate surveys. - Awarded Navy Commendation medal overall performance scoring the highest grade “Excellant” during the annual Logistics Management Inspection. Awarded the first battle “E” in organizations history, signifying sustained superb performance. Spot promotion to senior level paygrade from sustained superior performance amongst peers. Show less
