I enjoyed the challenge of speaking to both children and adults which involved a flexible communication approach. I also participated in marketing upcoming events and recruiting customers. My other (paid) roles involved monitoring and leading workshops and holiday camps for children and teenagers, which relied on me having positive, energetic and an approachable aura, whilst maintaining an authoritative figurehead in order to avoid deterring from the activities put in place.Both parts of this job enhanced my confidence, leadership and social skills, and the advertising persuasive and creative skills.   This role involved recruiting and training a team, whilst liaising with the Director of the Official Red Bull merchandisers.As the team leader, I was the center point of communication between the cashiers and managers and sorting all administrative tasks. I gained an appreciation of the importance of communication, punctuality and dealing with issues under pressure. I was also able to put into practice my leadership skills. Learning to expect some mistakes but knowing how to reach a solution was mandatory in keeping the event free from any disruptions. I was rewarded with a bonus at the end of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and was asked to join the team for future events which I had to decline as I chose to attend University. Show less

  The CSR initiative by my current place of work, digitalfarm.ae.plasticfreeuae is a country-wide facilitator that highlights and promotes groups, individuals and government entities who too are on a mission to spread environmental awareness.An addition to this project is 'The Plastic Exchange', which is our CSR's presence at events such as Taste of Abu Dhabi and HSBC Abu Dhabi Golf Championships. This aspect doesn't only educate event attendees, but encourages a change of attitude and prompts action to be taken by selling reusable, BPA-Free festival tumblers, recycled reusable bags, and biologically friendly straws.As project coordinator, my role includes maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, as well as organising, attending and participating in partnership meetings.
