  President's Award RecipientI was part of the original team that opened the Suffolk Marketplace store, which was the third Kroger Marketplace opened in Hampton Roads. I started out as a Front End Courtesy Clerk. I was trained for cash registers, self-checkout, customer service, and became a backup file maintenance (Scanfile) lead. During my time working in scanfile, I learned how to fix pricing errors, create promotional signs, and scan new items into our system. During my time in the Front End, I received the President's Award which is customer service based. I transferred to the Grocery department in August 2016 and worked with ordering merchandise, marking down items, scanning out damaged and expired items. My favorite part of working in Grocery was building displays. I enjoyed being able to use my own creativity to build appealing displays for customers. Show less
