      Direct oversite of all human resources functions in 16 Safeway stores. Provided extensive expertise in employee relations guidance to all levels within the business environment. Some examples of specific duties that I supported Included: EEO Initiatives: Developed the Denver Division’s Management Selection and Development Program to ensure fair and consistent hiring practices in management recruitment. Respond to all formal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission charges with internal investigation process or formal mediation. Facilitation Expertise: Certified to facilitate management workshops including Safeway’s Managing Diversity Initiative, Achieving Management Excellence, Ethics, Zenger Miller Frontline Leadership and Sexual Harassment Awareness and Prevention Program. Learning and Development: Assisted in the design and development of an 8 module Leadership Training program with emphasis on strengthening the leadership skills of managers within the Division. 125 leaders completed the training the first year. Employee/Labor Relations: Investigate and resolve all harassment, discrimination, and employee conflicts; manage labor relations within the district by successfully mediating UFCW Local 7 grievances.
