  I recreated past designs and current logos, etc., based on the client needs. I also designed a few basic brands for industrial, construction-related materials such as roof underlayment, house wrap, product bags, and plastic wrapping for pallets. Part of the job was also to layout the repeated logo on a specified angle so the print was continuous around the print press cylinder. I communicated directly with our clients, revising the work until it was approved.An additional part of my job was creating and manufacturing the actual print die polymer plates and sometimes delivering the products to our local clients. I also packaged our products which needed to be shipped.After a year or so in this job, I got married and there was an opportunity to move out of state. I was able to move and continue working for PDU/CME as an Independent Contractor. During the last year I worked from my home in Laramie, Wyoming, while continuing my education at the University of Wyoming. Show less

  I create and design digital art for screen-printed, embroidered apparel and promotional materials. Sometimes designing a brand identity is required, because the client doesn't already have anything of their own. Part of the creative process includes, revisions to the design, creating a design based on a combination of ideas from the client, or even creating the design for a client who has no idea what he/she is looking for.I also create flyers, order forms, business cards, letterheads, website headers, Facebook Cover photos, and even restaurant menus for our clients. I communicate through our own Customer Service Representatives, directly with the clients in person, through email or phone calls. Occasionally the clients come in and watch some of the design process over my shoulder to see changes in real time as well.Good communication, patience and understanding are very important for this field, as more often than not the client isn't able to voice exactly what they want. Being able to ask for more information, understand what event or purpose his/her order is for, what his/her business does, and even getting a good read on their personality definitely helps to pinpoint an idea the client will end up loving!
