  Ex GOC Area in the East

  Last assignment was General Officer Commanding an Area in the East responsible for conceptualizing, planning and execution of security measures, discipline and legal matters, logistics support and supply chain management over large geographical areas. Responsible for security of road/rail communications and coordination of movement of large body of troops, equipment and ammunition in three states in the eastern region. Management of Educational Institutions • Chairman, Army Institute of Management, Kolkata (A ++ B School). • Chairman, Local Board of Administration, Sainik School, Purulia • Member, Local Committee of Governors, La Martinere College for Boys and La Martinere College for Girls, Lucknow. • Patron, Army Public Schools at Bikaner, Suratgarh and Kolkata • Patron, Army Primary Schools at Pooh (HP), Suratgarh, Bikaner and Panagarh. Management/Administration of Military Hospitals: associated with a number of military hospitals including multi-speciality training hospitals. I retired on 31 May 2012 on successful completion of 36 years of glorious service in the Indian Army.
