  I gave guided tours through Herrenchiemsee Palace in front of 50 people in German, English, and French. Furthermore, I surveilled the museum and tours in order to enforce house rules. These duties enhanced my language, communication, and conflict management skills. In the morning and during times with few visitors I helped clean the presented rooms and engaged in maintenance activities.

  The Summer Feeling Festival is a student-organized 10-day festival within the framework of an event management course. The team I was part of was responsible to organize a diverse evening program and other side events that fill in the time slots between german college beach soccer, beach volleyball, and spikeball tournaments as well as public viewings of the soccer world cup. More specifically I set up a podcast festival with some of the best live podcasts in Germany by contacting and coordinating sponsors as well as other parties involved. I ended up sealing a deal with Røde as the main podcast festival sponsor for 1600€ plus contributions in-kind. Additionally, I contributed to the time, resource, and budget planning as well as safety and hygiene management. Unfortunately, the festival was canceled last minute by the university due to health hazards related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Show less

  My main responsibility is correcting exams for an online course about value co-creation in sport management. By doing so, I gained expertise regarding special features of sports products, integrative branding as well as sponsoring processes. On top of that, I assist members of the marketing and service management chair as well as partners from other universities with their research. For instance, I conducted a literature review using specific search queries in the ELSEVIER and SAGE databases to prepare relevant articles and was able to contribute a paragraph to the chairman’s publication. Furthermore, I analyzed a year's worth of social media and interview data using MAXQDA to undertake a reliability check on a postdoc’s work, which resulted in being cited as a contributor to his Ph.D. thesis.   Business Internship Experience 1.B: Continual Process Improvement for Business Operations and Sales:In this position, I conducted competitive research on freelancer platforms to identify new competitors and their offerings. Moreover, I analyzed a dataset of sales communication data using Python and Google Sheets to pinpoint effective sales strategies and identify possible reasons for a previous sales decline. Based on my suggestions to focus more on proactive outreach, a shorter response time, and the avoidance of unprofessional errors with messaging templates the company was able to ramp up sales after three months without a sale. Moreover, I adjusted formulas in task spreadsheets in Google Sheets to improve efficiency in employee management. My last project entailed developing a process to predict impressions for Google Ad campaigns for prospective and current clients using the Google Keyword Tool. Show less
