      For a university placement I worked with Elite Sport Analysis (ESA). ESA analyse elite sporting performances using a statistical software package.From the experience I was able to familiarise myself with the package Focus X2 and used the package to analyse a Poland v Scotland friendly in Warsaw.From my analysis I was able to detect certain aspects from the Polish performance which could benefit the Scottish national team for the EURO 2016 Qualifiers. I was able to gain objective based analysis which further supported my findings. Show less

      Working in the USA for UK Soccer. I was part of the coaching staff that worked at camps all across Pennsylvania. The camps were a week long and lasted 4 hours per day. The age range was 3-16 with the emphasis on engaging young players to the sport. Occasional camps were team camps were the emphasis was on preparing a team for later competition.

Along with my coaching and scouting responsibilities at the Academy I am now responsible for administrative tasks within the club. Tasks include:- Organising weekly and monthly schedule for all age groups- Booking any extra facilities if required for external activity - Co-ordinating fixtures with opposing clubs, referees and governing body - Registrations of all academy players - Coaching twice a week at our partnership school at Balerno High School Watch and provide scouting reports on opposition teams before they played Hearts.Within this role I will look at trends the opposition have in possession, when defending and set pieces. I would then provide suggestions about we can exploit weaknesses and control their strengths.
