    • JD Technology Solutions LLC

      Jan 2004 - Jun 2015
      Owner

JD-Technology Solutions is a home grown business that I have ran in my spare time since 2004. It originally started as simply repairing a PC for a personal friend. That friend then told others which started the chain of social marketing that has grown into myself now overseeing the systems and network infrastructure for small local area businesses. This has allowed me to grow my expertise to now encompass the many uses of Personal Computers in every day lives. From Point of Sale systems to networks involving both mobile and stationary devices. I have never turned down a challenge. As well, I have gone out of my way to expand my knowledge in troubleshooting the hardware behind these systems. From simple repairs like swapping RAM to more complex repairs such as network overhaul, or digitizer replacement on small mobile devices. Additionally, through a business Facebook page, I enjoy giving people tips and advice that can make their lives much simpler with the aide of technology. From simple tips such as how to run a system defrag, to more expansive topics such as networking, or how to diagnose battery drain on mobile devices.JD Technology Solutions has been a way for me to pursue my hobbies and passions, while also challenging me to educate my customers on newer technologies that may be applicable to their infrastructure. • LDV

      May 2016 - Nov 2018
      Electrical Engineer

Our customers are our greatest priority. As an engineer at LDV we focus on systems that have maximum dependability and can react to any situation. As a leader in the mobile command center industry, safety and stability is key.My responsibility at LDV is to design special service vehicles to our customers needs. This includes AC Power distribution, DC power distribution and charging, as well as multiplex system design. Each facet of design is greatly challenging and rewarding.A major design project I was placed with required replacing the human-machine interface, which was the mainstay of our Special Service Vehicles. This involved getting an industrial grade HMI to work with our legacy system that employed a proprietary buss protocol. The resulting product is an HMI which gives the company much more flexibility for expansion utlizing a standard codebase (C#). This allows the company to use standard J1939 components vs OEM specific components and brings the power of engineering solutions back in house, while having more control over supply-side decisions. As well, a priority of my position is production support. Assisting in any possible issue that comes up. From chassis integration issues to providing documentation for designs. The amounts of variety in this position is astounding. Show less
