  Bioanalytical chemistry with a focus in mass spectrometry under Dr. Carolyn. J. Cassady. Used mass spectrometry to obtain information about amino acids and peptides to further proteomic research. Responsible for instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.Presented research in the form of publications and presentations at national conferences. Worked with collaborators (Dr. David Dixon and Dr. Michele Stover) on several projects, which were funded through NSF. Mentored by Dr. Carolyn Cassady and Dr. Shanlin Pan on teaching styles. Developed a more efficient fluorescence spectroscopy experiment for quantitative analysis students. Participated in a lecture course designed to prepare graduate students for teaching and other future career opportunities. Created homework assignments, gave lectures, and held help sessions for quantitative analysis students.
