      As a lifeguard at the Elmira Free Academy Pool I would lifeguard for the morning swim year round and I was the lifeguard for the swim team during the swim seasons. I also taught swim lessons on occasion.

      As a student teacher I observed my cooperating teacher, Susan Pabody, assisted her in teaching lessons in Drawing and painting, Ceramics, and Studio in Art . During the six weeks of student teaching I taught, Ceramics and Studio in Art a majority of the time, I taught one lesson to the drawing and painting class, this is because the Drawing and Painting class needs a longer period of time to complete tasks and assignment because of the advanced art setting.

During the twelve weeks of student teaching I taught several lessons on the elements and principles of art and integrated lessons on the Iroquois culture,the seasons, and other topics related to their classroom learning.
