I oversee and manage the Theatre Royal and City Hall supporter’s memberships, access register, hires, fundraising and donations whilst also carrying out administration for sponsorship and corporate partnerships. I am responsible for budget management and produce marketing materials for the Friends members which includes a quarterly newsletter. Since starting in this role I have successfully guided the number of Friends memberships to a 45% increase, now sitting at almost 7000 members; this is the largest increase on record by some margin which has made the membership scheme one of the strongest in the region; all of this whilst also increasing membership prices by over 35%.I have developed my event management skills during this role which involves line managing the hospitality team for the venue. I organise large to small scaled events on a daily basis, adapting my knowledge to tailor individual events to the clients’ requirements. Previous events have included charity fundraisers, weddings and corporate hospitality. One of my more recent projects was the launch of the Access Requirement Register. This is a project I have developed from the research stage right through to implementation and it will improve the experience for Newcastle Theatre Royal and Newcastle City Hall’s users who have access requirements by offering more services and facilities for their visits. It will also help ensure only people who require a free personal assistant ticket benefit from one which will heavily reduce the amount of revenue previously lost through misuse of the former scheme. Show less • Assisted the Front of House Manager in leading the FOH team and in his absence ensured the operation carried on smoothly.• Worked with visiting companies and technical teams to ensure shows went ahead to schedule.• Monitored sales and stock levels to ensure ancillary sales performed well.• Provided a safe and enjoyable environment for customers by ensure FOH teams knew their role and provided training as necessary. • Handed customer queries as required.• Carried out monthly stocktakes Show less
