  Trainee safety officer, my responsibility in this role was to assist the safety officer manage the safety file, assist in formulating risk assessments for plant processes, help chair toolbox talks in absentia of the safety officer, assist when the health and safety inspector comes for a visit. I assisted with the induction of employees, controlled the PPE issue register, inspected hand tools weekly, enforce correct use of PPE, conduct daily site visits to check adherence on correct use of PPE and welcome visitors to our site and conduct a brief induction of the site.
