  .NCCC-FEMA Corps promotes better mission outcomes for both the Cooperation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and The Fedearal Emergency Managment Agency (FEMA), while improving the delivery of assistance to disaster survivors. We recieved Americorps training in Vinton, Iowa for 4 weeks and FEMA training in Annisoton Alabama for 2 weeks. The program is made of of this training period, plus 3 rounds of service. The first two rounds were spend in various areas of New Jersey helping with Hurricane Sandy relief. See projects for details. Show less

  I worked with 2 teams that both help contribute to the United Way goal of increasing the income of Central Iowa families.I facilitate family events for the Stable Families program, an initiative through the Seimer foundation that provides a holistic approach to achieving income stability in Families with young children. I also assist with case management and administrative tasks as needed.The Financial Capability Network, another United Way initiative is designed to increase financial education and abilities to individuals in the Des Moines metro. I lead community outreach activities to engage the community. This involves calling to touch base with previous clients, running tables about financial education at job fairs, and social media outreach and management for the Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families. Show less

This envolved checking on the status of customer applications, entering applications, password resets, and explaining program rules and otions. In November 2014 Wells Fargo Retail Services began its relationship with Dillards, and I was tasked with processing credit applications. This included underwriting skills such as evaluating income in comparison to the scorecard. Declining applications that were not credit worthy, fixing typographical erros and identifying fraud.
