    I am a keen learner, and have a passion for taking on challenging tasks. I take personal responsibility for all the tasks that are assigned to me. I see to it that the end results are obtained without compromising in terms of quality. Apart from work, I am very much inclined towards physical fitness and outdoor sports as well, as physical agility plays a crucial role in putting my 100% efforts in work. I am not a complete workaholic though, and love to spend my leisure hours in sketching, listening to music, hanging out with friends and playing outdoor sports.       Project Title: RADEIn this project I had to provide production support and implement client change requests to the data mappings in Informatica tool, for the client M/s Kaiser Permanente, USA. This was a crucial part of the overall support provided to the client in which the critical data were made available for client dashboard display. Apart from Informatica 8.6, PL/SQL Developer tool was also used extensively in this project to create new procedures and functions depending upon the client request. I was the sole offshore resource in the team and had to carry out the daily map run sequence jobs, maintenance jobs, and other change requests which were assigned to me from the team lead at onshore site. The project involved a steep learning curve and having being the youngest member of the team, I was appreciated by the client and the senior members of my team for the efforts I had put into the project in a short span of time. The project was presented as a part of the TQM convention at Vadodara on 11th Feb 2015, and we were awarded with shield and certificate of recognition for our efforts towards improving energy usage. Being the only team from our company, it was a matter of pride and recognition for our team and moreover for our company as well. In this project, we took a… Show more I was part of a 4 member team and we did a took a quality circle project in our plant in order to reduce the excessive energy usage. The project was presented as a part of the TQM convention at Vadodara on 11th Feb 2015, and we were awarded with shield and certificate of recognition for our efforts towards improving energy usage. Being the only team from our company, it was a matter of pride and recognition for our team and moreover for our company as well. In this project, we took a changeover of the primary source of supply at our plant from the captive Gas Turbine Generators (which uses Natural Gas as a fuel) to the State Electricity Grid supply. The project demanded extensive cost benefit analysis under various regularly encountered and foreseeable plant load situations, as the changeover to the express grid feeder supply required a huge initial investment. Our team utilized the concepts and techniques of Quality Circle in order to pin-point the major issues and rectify them analytically. The project resulted in monthly savings of Rs. 17 Lakh when compared to the energy cost incurred previously. We also were able to save Natural Gas to the tune of 70 Lakh SCM per year, which was otherwise used up in generating electricity. The project thereby not only helped us to observe significant financial gains but also added towards our efforts to reducing our carbon footprint.To put in a bigger perspective the no. of units of electricity which we were able to save after this project due to offloading various non-critical loads and GTG auxillaries were equivalent to meeting the energy needs of 274 Indians on a monthly basis. The communication barrier which was present previously… Show more Our team of 6 members won the silver award at the "State level" 25th Quality Circle Forum of India - Vadodara Chapter's Competition, where more than a 100 teams from several reputed industries such as L&T, TATA, Adani, FAG Bearings, Reliance etc. participated in our category. Project was foccussed on reduction of system downtime due to power grid outage situations at remote SV/ IP stations along pipeline by use of SCADA systems. The communication barrier which was present previously during power outage situations was effectively nullified by implementing a suitable alarm system developed in-house by our team and integrating with the existing SCADA architecture. Issues of major downtime were drastically reduced after implementation of this project, which enabled the concerned pipeline personnel to take necessary corrective actions such as turning on secondary source of power, or visiting site in case of power outage situations, well in advance, thus averting any undue system downtime.The project resulted in improved system availability, and cut down potential losses related to communication link outage to a great extent. It effectively automated the channels of information through Email, SMS, SCADA Web Based Alarms and thus made it possible to be prepared for any long duration power outage crises. Show less
