  Worked as Shift Operations Engineer with primary responsibility of 04 GE MS9001E gas turbines, 04 Alstom HRSGs, 02 GEC & Alstom steam turbines and a 220 kV switch yard with 06 units, 04 outgoing feeders and 05 auto transformers. Performed the following roles and tasks:• Supervised plant during shift hours for safe, efficient and smooth operation, taking care of load demand and OEM recommendations.• Providing safety from system derived hazards to personnel working on plant and apparatus by implementing KAPCO safety rules as an HV authorized safety controller.• Monitored plant efficiency parameters, took necessary actions and proposed ideas for cost saving and efficiency improvement.• Participated in several fault investigation and proposed remedial measures.• Acted as an incident controller and controlled incident with assistance of fire, rescue and chemical handling teams during shift hours. • Recovered plant from black outs.   1223 MW Balloki Power Plant consists to state of the art 02 GE 9HA.01 gas turbines, triple pressure Alstom steam turbine , Hangzhou HRSG’s and a 500 kV switchyard.Worked as a Shift Charge Engineer with primary operational responsibility of 02 9HA.01 gas turbines, triple pressure Alstom steam turbine, Hangzhou HRSG’s, 500 kV switch yard, Atlas Copco natural gas booster compressors and related BOPs. Performed the following roles and tasks during my stay at Balloki Power Plant:• Joined TNB team during commissioning phase of the Plant.• Participated in commissioning activities of 9HA gas turbines as O&M team representative.• Performed walk downs for punch points and warranty defects identification.• Taking over of plant from EPC team for commercial operation.• Training and skill development of new team with new technology through rigorous trainings.• Preparation and implementation of standard operating procedures check sheets and changeovers.• Adapting prudent operational practices and ensuring safe operating procedures are in place.• Preparation and implementation of general safety and safety from the system (PTW system).• Preparation and tracking of departmental budget.• Coordination with customer, power purchaser and GE for long term service agreement.• Implementation of power purchase agreement.• Leading O&M shift operations team and managing shift activities and shift personnel. • Seeking continuous improvement in systems development to operate the plant.   GE Gas Power has O&M contract for Sapphire Electric Company Limited which is a 234 MW CCPP, consisting GE 6FA gas turbines and Doosan SKODA steam turbine along with Austrian Energy HRSGsWorking as shift charge engineer with primary responsibilities of but not limited to:• Leading O&M shift operations team to ensure the plant meets the required availability, reliability, efficiency, production and cost targets, safely and within strict environmental limits.• Making commercial declarations of the plant as per power purchase agreement and status of the plant.• Ensuring safe and efficient startup, shutdown and normal operation of the plant.• Make quick, on the spot decisions to correct abnormalities or disturbances.
