  Primary duties were to conduct a thorough assessment of all Oswego County BOCES data systems, as well as data users processes. An assessment was then completed to determine how data was currently being administered, used and reported. An assessment document was developed, and presented to the District Superintendent, Executive Directors and Level One Technology committee members for review. Industry standard enterprise student information systems were evaluated to select a system that would replace the current BOCES information system. Developed data systems for web and desktop solutions, utilizing SQL server software, MS-Access, Visual Basic, ASP and visual Interdev software. Administration of Microsoft SQL 7 & 2000 server software, involving creating users, implementing security, performing backups, creating automated jobs and notification alerts, are resulting in 99.9% up-time and reliability. I created MS-access front-ends applications to allow users to update web site information. Administered Filemaker server software as well as Filemaker databases. Administered Help Desk software (Track-IT 5.0, 6.0). Generated reports using Crystal Reports 9.   As Chief Technology Officer I oversee two technology departments, instructional technology and information technology. I work with central office senior staff to grow the district through the use of technological resources and professional development. Using an active and practical approach, I work with employees in IT, the curriculum department and school personnel to attain the district strategic goals of ‘Inspiring Excellence’ established in our strategic plan.I lead the initiative of the district to put technology devices in the hands of 1,500 students and teachers at our high school. A successful Chromebook and Google Apps for Education deployment was realized in Jan. 2016.
