  After graduating from JCI's Leadership Development Program (LDP) this year, I've transitioned to a Lead Product Engineer for Floor Consoles and Overhead consoles at JCI Automotive Interiors. This role is in the Phase 1 Quote engineer department. I am also the Phase 1 engineer specifically focusing on Manufacturing Assembly and the Design and Development budgets for the JCI Automotive Interiors division. Phase 1 Engineering: Creating technical quotes for multiple JCI business units including: Door Panel, Floor Console, Overhead Console, and Functional Plastics product lines. Understand and clearly communicate product definition and technical requirements to commercial, product costing and manufacturing teams. Develop Engineering Design and Development budgets that are competitive and meet execution expectations. Apply Lean Engineering techniques to optimize product cost through improved material utilization, material selection, rationalized manufacturing processes and footprint.
