      Activities and Societies: Cobweb Theatre Company. QMU Summer Shakespeare (Production Manager) This degree programme explores many aspects of theatre. I was able to specialise in Production Management, building experience and skills in resource management, budgeting and timekeeping.The curriculum was split roughly 50/50 practical and theoretical.       As Cluster Restaurant and Bars Manager I work across three 4* hotels in Edinburgh City center; Consisting of three restaurants and bars and 13 different conference spaces, three of which also have their own bars which can be opened dependent on business needs. Within the department I have sole responsibility for our smallest location, reporting directly to the HOD. I am also the lead manager for breakfast service across all three properties along with providing support to the Conference and Events arm of the department when needed. My day-to-day duties include: -Ensuring that all the administration, cash control, stock control and security procedures are adhered to by self and team members. -Entering requisitions and placing orders via Procure Wizard. -Joint responsibility for the creation of a weekly rota for 100 employees including casual staff with variable availability. -Updating time and attendance data based on employee clock-in/clock-out times through the Fourth application on a weekly basis. -Monitoring lateness and absences and following procedures to record and investigate patterns of absence as laid out by Apex Hotels. -Co-ordinating and directing employees to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service within the restaurant and bar areas. -Supporting the Conference and Events arm of the Food and Beverage department with staffing and operational needs. -Assisting the HOD with recruitment by conducting interviews and work trials. -Responding to audits that are completed by the company to ensure continual improvement is achieved.- Continual improvement and training within the department and supporting the supervisory team in best practices when carrying out on the job training.
