Within the department I have sole responsibility for our smallest location, reporting directly to the HOD. I am also the lead manager for breakfast service across all three properties along with providing support to the Conference and Events arm of the department when needed. My day-to-day duties include: -Ensuring that all the administration, cash control, stock control and security procedures are adhered to by self and team members. -Entering requisitions and placing orders via Procure Wizard. -Joint responsibility for the creation of a weekly rota for 100 employees including casual staff with variable availability. -Updating time and attendance data based on employee clock-in/clock-out times through the Fourth application on a weekly basis. -Monitoring lateness and absences and following procedures to record and investigate patterns of absence as laid out by Apex Hotels. -Co-ordinating and directing employees to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service within the restaurant and bar areas. -Supporting the Conference and Events arm of the Food and Beverage department with staffing and operational needs. -Assisting the HOD with recruitment by conducting interviews and work trials. -Responding to audits that are completed by the company to ensure continual improvement is achieved.- Continual improvement and training within the department and supporting the supervisory team in best practices when carrying out on the job training.
