The aims were to use a variety of methods such as graphic logging, bed/cleavage orientation data, fold and fault data, sketches and photographs, and past literature to gain an understanding of the geological evolution and deformation of SW England, focusing on the Roseland Peninsula, in particular. A masters that combines the earth sciences with business.My dissertation included analysis of the residential areas around Northern Europe's largest urban landslide complex (Undercliff, Isle of Wight) using geological data, remote sensing and direct observation to determine slope stability and infrastructure vulnerability. The products of this project were various vulnerability maps using a range of softwares including Sketch up pro, Google Earth Pro and QGIS highlighting areas of concern. Show less
