      Project Academy is a private educational institution that provides tutoring to high school students.Generally, my responsibilities include teaching weekly classes on the HSC Economics and Extension 1 Maths course content and developing course materials through research of contemporary economic issues and analysis of government policy. I have conducted interviews for the Economics, Maths and Physics departments. During my year abroad in San Diego, I worked remotely to build the course structure, develop educational materials, mark student exams and provide feedback. I am also responsible for managing eight other economics tutors, which involves training, rostering and conducting performance reviews. During my tenure, the Economics Department has achieved a 50% band 6 (90%+) rate for students. Show less

      The Economics Competition was first launched in 1991 in NSW with the aim to stimulate teaching and learning of the subject, while encouraging awareness of current affairs and acknowledging the achievements of students.My role was the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive question and solution data base. I also coordinated meetings discussing the creation of the economics exam paper, attaining sponsors and exam facilitation.Following the writing of the paper, my role was extended to contacting and enrolling Australian and New Zealand high schools for the exam. I also assisted in the planning the award ceremony whilst working remotely from San Diego. Show less
