  During studying I took part in a good for nothing charity event that gives small business's design and strategies to help their business thrive and it's all for free. Knowing we were really helping someone and their business made the experience even better. We did all the work in a day and this gave a real feel to working to a super strict deadline in which we were to present the work to the client at the end of the day. I worked as a part of a team and took on the roll art director coming up with the overall feel look and design of the brand. Having an illustration background helped and I used those skills to design quirky illustrations for the packaging, leaflets and menus. This is an ongoing project and we will be providing a service to cowherds in the future. Show less

  During my final year at university I worked at Waggledance advertising agency where I came up with ideas for a new client which were also taken through to client pitch ranging from print, outdoor to ambient and digital advertising.I was also given a market research project as well as creating a strategy and art direction for an Online wedding planning website. I gained valuable experience of how an agency is run and the roles which are played throughout an agency and the process that it takes to get from initial concepts to final delivery to a client standard.Skills used:Art Direction, Idea generation, Adobe software skills, Presentation skills, Teamwork, Research and planning skills, Time management.   Graduate Digital Creative Trainee

  My position at Amaze was Graduate Trainee. After gaining a position out of over 80 applicants I had the opportunity to spend 2 months in each of the Agencies 6 departments. Gaining overall experience in each of the agencies departments gave me a deep understanding of how the agency worked as a whole from Creative, PR, Tech, Research,Strategy and even User experience giving me an in depth understanding of marketing strategies and practices in order to understand and create a solution for the client that understood their clients behaviours and needs. I worked in PR, Creative, Social media, analytics and more gaining coverage for a number of clients in top editorial outlets, being a part of PR, social media and advertising campaigns along with managing social media accounts and designing new creative content for The Saucy Fish Co which was sold to the client as a new direction for the platform. I also created posts for The Cooperative Food and Pizza Hut's Social media platforms. I also had the opportunity to design newsletters for East Coast trains as well as creating online video content for Pizza Hut incorporating their celebrity brand ambassador. I also had the opportunity to create copy for numerous Northern Rail newsletters, created in depth research and presentations for client workshops focusing on strategy as well as experience within the UX and analytics team creating KPI dashboards to track website performance. I also took part in a project creating user personas and user groups for an app as well as designing the functional master and wire frames. This was great as it showed the process before the creative stage and how each stage is an important factor in the overall design and functionality of a digital platform. With my existing creative experience and background along with the diverse experience at Amaze, I'm confident that I can move into my digital design career with a wide skill set and broad knowledge of effective and creative digital content.   I created designed and founded the bouncy blow bad which is the first heat free curling band with four arms and built in accessories to keep curls secure all night resulting in perfectly formed curls without the heat damage!
