  I worked in many different departments at RG Steel (Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel) I started out at the rolling mill, coke plant, cold strip, BOF ( Basic Oxygen Furnace) and EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) at the rolling mill I was a millwright in the Roughing mill, Finish mill, and Coilers. I also worked in the oil cellar for approximately six months. I got a bid at the EAF, where I eventually became a work leader. My daily tasks consisted of delegating the work force, making sure everyone was locking out the equipment that they were working on, keeping a detailed log of jobs completed and parts used, keeping track of employees hours, and making judgement calls whether the furnace could continue to run when there was a mechanically related problem.   When I worked for McConway & Torley in Pittsburgh PA as a Millwright / Welder / Trainer. I worked in several different areas including: Kunkle Wagner sand molding machine, two electric arc furnaces, two tumble blast machines, and two hydraulic / pneumatic articulating material handles. I also helped train new millwrights and welders. I used a wide variety of tools. I used everything from pipe wrenches to dial indicators.
