I was now responsible for opening the store on weekends, balancing cash (Checkouts & ATM), ensuring staff knew the plans for the day while reporting directly to management and the owner. Upon gaining experience my duties grew to include tasks on the shop floor including restocking products, operating checkouts, preforming bi-annual stocktake of entire floor; and working close to management on adhoc tasks as needed. All while ensuring customers received a high quality customer service. My duties included, opening/closing of the deli; preparation of both hot and cold foods; ensuring correct cleaning and health & safety protocols are followed and documented.

  After successfully securing placement in James Dillane & Associates after intense placement selection by UCC BComm, I began my placement. Several weeks into my placement Ireland was put into lockdown to help restrict the spread Covid-19; forcing my placement to move fully remote. During these months I gained valuable experience in date entry, debtor & creditor maintaining, bank reconciliation and general bookkeeping from working on a wide number of clients ranging from Sole Traders, DAC, CLG to Ltd in a variety of industries.
