I take calls from Industry professionals to accomodate the forward movement of society. If something must be built on/near our land we must be accomodated. I assist in setting up potential partnerships with Corporations and our Nation. i Record meetings between the latter and i take all the knowledge of business interaction and use it to maintain a strict professional attitude. I learn from my Chief and Council what it's like to be a mover and shaker in today's world. with upcoming pipelines and transmission towers our world is going to change with or with out us. i can take in what i am learning and gain an understanding of where we need to be at as a people. Show less Currently I assist four of our Nations' Council members: Derek Bruno MBA, Koren Lightning-Earle LLB, Mario Swampy BA, and Jerry Saddleback Jr Addictions Counsellor. My job is to assist Council with their day to day to make their lives and decision making a less stressful experience while they are in office. I create schedules, set up/record meetings, and understand that council is there to maintain status quo within the community as well look for opportunities outside the community. I record for the following committee's: Consultation and Safe Community. Working with my council i was able to maintain their friendship and work under them while learning their tricks of the trade. Growing up in the background of Politics have given me a desire to work alongside the leaders of today in hope of learning from each one of them. They were voted in by the public and they have shown our community that they have what it takes to take the community and show them a brighter future. Show less
