  Working at high-end Nonlinear Finite Element Modeling / Advanced Technology department. ■ Reassessment of existing structures using Nonlinear FEM: primarily prestressed bridges located on the Dutch main highways but also structures affected by concrete deterioration, imperfections, time effects, temperature. Used technologies amongst others are: • Geometrical and material nonlinearity, linear/nonlinear interfaces (concrete slab – soil, bridge bearing – pile - soil, rail clips – rail, etc.) • Performing global nonlinear plastic analysis including local failures until full loss of structure bearing capacity, considering situations where Euler-Bernoulli theorem for straight cross section does not hold, Model Code implementation, bond slip reinforcement • Working on models in 2D, 2.5D ;manipulation of the model to consider all consecutive failure modes of the structure, concrete crushing using different softening curves, bilinear and true steel stress -strain relationship ■ Linear analysis of new and existing prestressed bridges, trackslabs, railway, steel plates in 2D, 2.5D and 3D ■ Python automation, used NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib libraries: • Post / pre - processing input / output data, data transformation • Building FEM models from the beginning based on Python script, allowed for easy changes in modeling at later stage of the project, implementation of reinforcement etc. • Linear calculations • Data Visualisation Show less
