      Primary duties and responsibilities:1. Understanding the customer needs and positioning cost effective offer for the bids to be submitted to improve inquiry conversion.2. To develop skill sets and team to provide value engineering as a differentiator3. Skill sets in each region design, engineering and estimation for wet systems, gas (Inergen, Co2 and specials) FDA systems to be firmed up.4. Estimation support in all regions to be reviewed and improved as required5. Providing and tracking design delivery schedule as in line with the project schedule to ensure on time delivery of drawings and project6. Detailed discussions with procurement manager and ops manager on the large bids.7. Project monitoring thro’ utilization of confirmed quantities/ BOQ generation.8. Pre-negotiation and standardization of suppliers/Vendors.9. Integrated Design and estimation- Effective costing, estimation and pre-design activities10. Development and formation of regional design capabilities for both mechanical and electrical aspects.11. Providing effective leadership on matrix relationship to design managers at all regions to ensure high level of employee motivation and ownership12. Site survey during bid stages for specific projects.13. Review of all major estimates before submission as per authority matrix.14. Maintaining design activities within estimates cost. Show less
