Once a manufactured vehicle leaves the plant, I worked with the NAVL Quality team to ensure quick and efficient delivery of this vehicle to the final customer. Within this role, a large portion was working with and handling quality claims / damages caused by the manufacturing process or the transportation of the vehicle to the final customer. On a day to day basis, I worked with the plant teams and the dealerships to ensure fast and successful final delivery of the vehicles to the customer that were meeting Ford quality standards. Show less I spent 6 months in this rotation working as a Program Manager with the Ford F-150 Lightning team. Throughout this role, I gained a lot of experience in a management role while also learning to use my engineering background to help make decisions that would benefit the program as a whole. This position enabled me to grow on my leadership and teamwork skills and also allowed me to foster an environment of open communication. During my time in this position, I helped the team with triaging issues as they arose during the manufacturing process and worked with several different teams (Supplier Technical Assistance, Manufacturing, and Design) to ensure we were delivering a truck that met all specifications and provided the customer exactly what they were paying for. We worked hard every day to ensure we delivered one of the most innovative vehicles on the market within our promises of timing and quality. Show less I spent 6 months working with the BEV Machining team in the VEPC (Van Dyke Electric Powertrain Center) Plant in SE Michigan helping deliver powertrain parts that met quality and timing. Throughout this 6 months, I helped with decision making in the machining process with my team and also learned how to solve problems quickly as they arose relating to the machining process. I also underwent Lean 6-Sigma Green Belt Training and was able to apply these principles to every day problem solving as needed. I also worked with the tooling department to verify inventory and ensure that all tools were verified and certified. Lastly, I worked closely with the gauging supplier, INTRA, and oversaw the delivery, processing, and functionality of over 100 gauges used by the department to verify quality and that the part was meeting specifications aligned in the 2D prints.
