I successfully influenced the public perception of contemporary design by delivering high quality exhibitions, displays and events that exceeded visitor targets.I drove the profile of contemporary design at the V&A by curating or contributing to more than 15 successful design exhibitions and permanent gallery redisplays, sometimes juxtaposing contemporary design in more traditional galleries to create impact and prompt audiences to comment on and question radical design concepts.During my time at the V&A, I built a strong portfolio of publications.   Senior Tutor, Design Products and Reader in Design Curating

  I was part of the senior management team of the world-renowned Design Products programme.As well as my duties as a tutor and research supervisor, I managed the annual, multi-site RCA show, successfully exhibiting the works of over 500 artists and balancing the sometimes competing needs of multiple stakeholders (including the college, press and sponsors).I was awarded the title of Reader In Design Curating in recognition of my outstanding contribution to original research into the relationship between museums and cutting edge design practice and my curated exhibitions.   I am Professor of Design and Head of the Design Department directing Foundation Year programmes in Fashion and 3D Design; BA programmes in Fashion Design, Fashion Textiles & Design, Fashion Communications & Styling, Fashion Marketing & Promotion (launching 2021) , Interior Architecture and Interior Design; MA programmes in Interior Design and Fashion Communication Futures (launching 2021), and research students together totalling approximately 670 students.
