      Activities and Societies: I played for the Uni hockey team for my three years at Salford University. In my final year I was captain of the ladies team and took on responsibilities including organising teams for the matches, arranging the match schedules and making sure umpires were booked for games. I also helped with the administration of club finances and arranging transportation to matches. British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT) accredited degree covering all aspects of sport injury assessment and rehabilitation treatments.

      I worked under the supervision of the head physio providing massage for players both at training and matches, I also covered pitch-side first aid and helped deliver a return to running programme after a player received a hamstring injury.

      I worked alongside the two physios at this full time club providing assessment and treatment to players. I helped players with treatments including taping, massage, trigger pointing, use of game ready, mobilisations, stretching, use of a theragun, use of a guasha on ligaments and exercise. During the time I was there I built relations with players and staff and gained their trust when delivering treatment.

      I worked alongside other students and the head physio. I lead warm ups and drills for already injured players during their recovery, I also took injured players to the gym to take them through their rehabilitation programmes and gave them new exercises as they improved. Here I also attended training sessions and games and also worked with the strength and conditioning coach to improve both injured and non-injured players abilities to improve performance.

      I worked alongside the head physio attending training twice a week and weekend games providing players with injury assessment, injury management, rehabilitation, massage and taping. I mainly saw hand/wrist and ankle injuries and did a lot of taping. After a few weeks I was carrying out rehabilitation programmes with injured players on my own talking them through exercises and progressing them as their injury improved.
