  Working primarily with stakeholders in higher education, non-profit, and government settings we engage in front-end evaluation planning to build capacity and design evaluations that answer key stakeholders’ questions. Front-end evaluation planning is often overlooked, misunderstood, or ignored. In fact, individuals tasked with an evaluation may not differentiate between different types of evaluation approaches or conflate it with research and performance measurement. Using a collaborative approach, we leverage practical evaluation approaches such as: evaluability assessment, program theory, prospective evaluation synthesis, systems thinking, and return on investment methodology to make program design and/or policy components explicit in order to measure varying aspects of impact.
