      Served as a support and Sapper (engineer) platoon leader in the 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team (Spartans), 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry). As a support platoon leader provided fuel and ammunition transportation and delivery during training and established ammunition and fuel distribution points when deployed to Afghanistan. As a Sapper platoon leader deployed, led multiple combat patrols of 20 to 30 Soldiers and five to 10 vehicles to detect and defeat improvised explosive devices. Show less

      Performed duties as a project engineer at the service base for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Louis District. Led vessel repairs and fleet maintenance for the Dredge Potter and other St. Louis vessels. Executed various facility repairs throughout the district to include the 2013 $2.5M rehabilitation of the Kaskaskia dam gates.

      Planned and directed all operations for a 510 Soldier battalion that included the division headquarters, division band, a public affairs detachment, and the Sabalauski Air Assault School. Managed daily operations for training management, sustainment, and fielding of new equipment to the force. Set conditions for the rapid deployment of the division headquarters, including all Soldiers and equipment, via air, rail, and line haul in response to contingency operations. Innovated new ways to transport command nodes to allow for insertion of a forward element by air using helicopters. Show less Managed engineer projects for a 29,000 Soldier air assault infantry division. Began implementation of a new Army combat fitness test to include training facility construction, testing standardization, department of the Army policy execution, and data collection and analysis. Managed all engineer inputs into a two week long division level tactical exercise to include land management, environmental impacts, integrating three outside engineer companies, tactical execution, and engineer personal management. When COVID-19 struck established quarantine facilities for 550 Soldiers in response to rapidly rising numbers of infections. Show less Collected, analyzed, and shared lessons learned and best practices to drive change in the Army and facilitate corporate learning. Performed multiple panel and individual interviews with employees and senior management along with analyzing after action reports to determine trends and best practices. Shared lessons learned and best practices through written reports and published the CALL publication "The First 100 Days of Platoon Leadership (May 2018)" to educate new platoon leaders and platoon sergeants and improve the quality of junior leaders in the Army. “The First 100 Days of Platoon Leadership (May 2018)” has been used by West Point and the Reserve Officers Training Corps to prepare new Lieutenants to be platoon leaders. Show less Planned, facilitated, and scheduled the reception and processing of all personnel assigned to a 34,000 personnel Army installation, over 8,000 individuals a year. Ensured each employee was receiving the correct pay and allowances, adequate housing, had complete and accurate personnel records, and issued equipment needed to perform all duties. Ensured all new employees were trained on sexual harassment, equal opportunity, personal finances, and career management. Coordinated weekly events with over 54 different agencies and offices across Fort Campbell to welcome new personnel to post. Show less Led a 100 man engineer company in both garrison and tactical operations at the Joint Readiness Training Center. Executed a diverse range of construction tasks to include clearing and grubbing, cutting combat trails, helicopter landing zone construction, and snow removal in addition to military tasks of explosive demolition of obstacles and identification and destruction of road side bombs. In addition to operations, managed all aspects of vehicle maintenance for a 47 vehicle fleet and human resources actions to include medical, pay and allowances, education, promotions, and professional development for the company.
