  - activity sustained in the Glass Forming Department at the Hot-End of the factory, during the day shift;- under supervision: • 2 IS Forming Machines:- 1x Bottero, 12 sections, double gob, Blow & Blow Process, 180-210 bottles per minute- 1x Emhart, 10 sections, triple gob, Narrow Neck Press & Blow Process, 290-330 bottles per minute • 2 IS Machine Specialists • 20 IS MachineOperators (divided into 4 shifts)- average extraction = 210 tons per day- main target - achieving a minimum "pack-to-melt" percentage of 93% ("ptm" the ration between the quantity of packed bottles and the total amount of glass melted)- in order to achieve the above target, the daily activites include, but are not limited to the following:• identifying the possile causes and remedies for the glass container defects (ranging from glass temperature and composition, machine and equipment setup to worn out / damaged equipment);• routine visual checks to ensure proper functioning of all the IS machine mechanisms;• taking active part in production meetings with the plant manager and the main departments (Molds, IS Maintenance, Electronics, Technical Quality Control);• taking active part in job change meetings with the IS Maintenance and Job Change teams;• constant improvement of performance by means of seeking out weak points (the need for shielding to protect the produced bottles from particles suspended in the air, drip pans to protect the bottles and equipment), changing the team composition (operators) to balance out expertise between shifts, indentifying the need for different trainings in order to increase the knowledge and skills of operators, ordering necesarry equipment and tools for the managed zone, implementing checklists to ease learning and promote good practices, etc. Show less
